There goes the Neighborhood

Here's my latest. The idea came from a combination of a song by Sheryl Crow and my ex-sister-in-law. It's 22 x 28.

Not much new here. I don't know where the time goes and I seem to not be getting anything done that I thought I would while being unemployed....But need to get busy painting as the show is only two weeks away. And this Saturday have a party to go to so won't be getting anything done then.

Woke up with a sore throat and ear ache this morning. After a few cups of tea the throat was better but the ear ached most of the morning...not bad but enough to cause a headache also. And I've been cold all day. Sure hope I'm not coming down with anything. Maybe I'll sleep in tomorrow and give my bod a rest.

Hi Jonna, sorry that you're not feeling well! Thank you for leaving your kind comment over at my blog - I'm so glad you did because now I've found yours. I've bookmarked it and I want to read through and catch up. Love love those animal photos! I also wanted to say I recognised your name from when I was looking up who was in my Artfest classes and we are in two together so we will definitely get the chance to trade.

Hi Jonna......hope you feel better soon!

Pam sent me over here.....your painting is lovely! I live in a purple house which was on the tv show Weird Homes.....i'm certain my neighbours think "there goes the neighbourhood!" Ha!

Love, Violette

Hey Jonna...love the painting! That "hippy house" is just the best. I seem to be into houses lately too.

Hope you're feeling better. Maisie and I send a big healthy hug your way!

Jonna,

I saw your painting on Violette"s site and it is really awesome. I like that you even made the sidewalk different. Very cool.

ditto - definitely a cool funky painting. i lived in a purple house when i was younger. i loved it - an old victorian. the rest of the town you to say of the people who painted it purple that "devil worshipers use to live there" (this was in the '70's!) now i live in a neighborhood with either white or boring beige while i have a "grass" green house! sticks out like a sore thumb in the winter, but in the spring/summer, it is beautiful!

I came here from Violette's blog. I just love this painting! But then I'm a "purple" person anyway and I love anything artsy and quirky.

I love this painting! (I saw it at Violette's blog first).
I always imagined my future house to be like that, not necessarily purple but somehow different, so that all my friends could get to my place easily! *^v^*

I hope you feel better already. Love your painting. I always seem to like the house that "spoils" the neighborhood that my sisters love.
